There is a famous quote from Karl Jung, “What you resist, persists”. Whilst you might not know much about the Law of Attraction, it’s basic statement is that you attract what you think about the most. This is true even if you are thinking about something you really don’t want. In fact, because most people spend more time thinking about things they don’t want, and really try to resist them, according to the Law, you are just going to attract more of those bad things to you.
If you suffer from excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, you might be interested to see how understanding the Law could help deal with your problem. You probably spend plenty of time getting stressed and worrying about your excessive sweating. And you’ve probably found, like the Law of Attraction says, that this only make the problem worse.
The levels of stress and anxiety that you experience when you start to sweat, and the focus your mind has on your problem, means that according to the Law you are bound to start sweating even more.
When you’re getting ready to go to work, or out for the evening, you’re probably not sweating…but you are probably worrying about it whether it’s going to happen at some point.
So what does this worrying about sweating do? It keeps the problem in your mind and attaches a really strong emotion to it so in the end, you start to sweat.
It would probably take a while to explain the Law of Attraction in more detail, but if you can understand that worrying about a problem only makes that problem more likely, you can begin using the Law to stop your hyperhidrosis. If you think positive thoughts about your problem, the Law will work to make them a reality too.
If you want to be dry, sweat-free and confident at work, then start thinking about this. Close your eyes and see yourself at work, leaning back in your chair and raising your hands behind your head, confident there’s no perspiration showing on your blouse or shirt. Visualise yourself on an amazing date and being able to get really close to them without worrying if your underarms are dry.
Affirmations are a big part of using the Law of Attraction for your benefit. You say, out loud or in your head, what you want to happen, but say it in the present tense like it is already happening, as if you are already receiving it. The Law states that this will then become your reality.
Affirmations should always be positive and in the present tense to be really effective, for example you could try saying this every morning before you go off to work. “I am confident and comfortable and my underarms are dry and fresh all day”.
If this is the first time you are hearing about the Law of Attraction it might be a bit difficult to believe that these principles will have any affect, but if you have faith in what you are saying and try it repeatedly, you should see an improvement. Even if you are a little bit sceptical, what have you got to lose?
